Roll tide! For over a decade, the University of Alabama has reigned in academic success at a top 50 school of the U.S. News and World's Report. The school's triumph does not stop with academia as they have an incredible number of various athletic awards, including 25 NCAA championships! One of the university's biggest pride and joys is their Crimson Tide football team, which is a part of the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
The Crimson tide had their first season in 1892, and currently plays home games at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Bryant-Denny Stadium is the seventh largest stadium in the nation and even the tenth largest non-racing stadium in the world; holding a capacity 101,821 fans. The size of this stadium is no surprise, as every fan wants a chance to watch their team play live. The Crimson tide has won 15 national championships, won 28 conference championships, won 10 division championships, and had 24 individuals inducted into the College Football including four head coaches, just to name a few of their many successes as team. Then, in 2009, Mark Ingram became Alabama's first Heisman trophy winner!
With great success in football always comes strong rivalries. Although their greatest rival is naturally with their fellow in state school, Auburn University, Tennessee and LSU are also considered strong rivals. Their rivalries only make the Crimson Tide a stronger force, with fans truly going "all out" with team spirit.
The Crimson Tide's spirit is showcased in many ways; from broadcasting the elephant as their unofficial mascot to showcasing The Million Dollar Band. All in all, everyone gets involved on Alabama gameday and throughout the year to show their undying support.
The Crimson Tide's fans will be seen decked out in their colors: crimson and white. It can be easy to 'get lost in the tide' without the right outfit. Our selection of crimson and white apparel will help you stand out in the crowd no matter what your style, whether it is at a sorority function, tailgate, alumni event, or the game itself!
